We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Service Technician to join our growing team, providing critical on-site support for our ten cafes. This role requires a self-starter who enjoys both routine maintenance and challenging project-based work. Key Responsibilities

• Frontline support for our cafés, ensuring their NCR Point of Sale (POS) systems operate flawlessly.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with various POS printers (thermal, impact, kitchen printers), including hardware malfunctions, connectivity problems, and driver issues.
• Perform new installations, upgrades, and reconfigurations of NCR POS terminals, including hardware setup, software loading, and peripheral integration.
• Identify and resolve network connectivity issues impacting POS systems, including wired and wireless network diagnostics, IP addressing, and basic router/switch troubleshooting.
• Provide on-site troubleshooting and support for integrated online ordering (OLO) platforms, including connectivity, order flow, and printer integration.
• Hands-on experience with self-service restaurant kiosks, including troubleshooting hardware (touchscreens, payment devices) and software issues, and performing basic maintenance.
• Conduct routine checks and maintenance to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
• Provide basic training to café staff on POS system functionality and common troubleshooting steps.
• Accurately document all service activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and parts used. Qualifications
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a field service or technical support role, specifically with Point of Sale (POS) systems, preferably in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Strong understanding of POS hardware (terminals, printers, cash drawers, scanners), Windows operating systems, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi).
• Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
• A friendly, professional, and patient demeanor with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage your own schedule, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and adapting to changing priorities. Preferred, but Not Required
• Experience with specific NCR Aloha POS software.
• Certifications in relevant IT fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+).
• Experience with payment processing terminals and EMV devices. Requirements

Valid Driver’s License:

This role requires significant local travel between our 10 café locations. A clean driving record and reliable transportation are essential.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and work in various environments.
