CEM Corporation (Matthews, NC) is seeking a highly self-motivated individual for a Field Service/ Installation Technician in the Buffalo, New York area. The associate will be responsible for traveling to various customer locations and installing CEM laboratory instrumentation. The associate will also provide maintenance training and user instructions on instruments up-keep. The service technician will perform all preventative maintenance and repairs necessary to sustain operation on all instruments installed. Perform repairs to board/part level and run instrument performance tests. Make recommendations as required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Travel to customers’ location throughout the region and North America. 2. Receives and acts on customer installation or repairs/PM’s immediately after receiving information from the service office. 3. Arrives at customer promptly, installs or repairs CEM instrumentation. 4. Run all tests required to ensure proper operation. 5. Complete all paperwork pertaining to service call and immediately forwards to proper locations. Keep in contact with the service supervisor each day. 6. Answer all customer questions to the best of ability or puts customer in touch with someone who can. 7. Responsible for making all travel arrangements. If delays are encountered contact the customer and estimate the time of arrival. 8. Represent CEM in a positive and professional manner. 9. All other duties as required by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications and Abilities Required:
1. Two-year Electronic Degree or equivalent work experience. 2. Minimum two-year travel experience. 3. Minimum one-year employment dealing directly with the public. 4.
