The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry, particularly in fire and water damage restoration. This role involves restoring properties affected by various types of damage, utilizing hand tools and power tools, and ensuring that all restoration work meets industry standards. The Restoration Technician will play a crucial role in helping clients recover from disasters and restore their properties to pre-loss conditions. Responsibilities Assess damage to properties and determine the appropriate restoration methods. Perform fire restoration tasks including smoke and soot removal. Conduct water damage restoration by extracting water, drying affected areas, and repairing damages. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various restoration tasks. Execute mold remediation processes to ensure safe environments for clients. Carry out carpet cleaning and other cleaning services as needed. Assist with asbestos abatement procedures when required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the restoration process. Communicate effectively with clients to explain the restoration process and address any concerns. Experience Previous experience in the restoration industry is preferred, with a focus on fire restoration and water damage restoration. Familiarity with mold remediation techniques is advantageous. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively is required. Knowledge of carpet cleaning methods is a plus. Understanding of asbestos abatement procedures is beneficial but not mandatory.
