SUMMARY The Senior Field Service Technician is responsible for providing problem solving and support in the installation of on-site water purification systems both domestically and internationally.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Manages sub-contractors and assists with the installation of on-site water purification systems. Provides customer service and schedule installations and warranty repairs. Diagnoses system operation and or mechanical problems and provides problem resolution to assure product quality assurance and quality control. Recommends proper procedures in dismantling of a customer’s equipment in a safe and professional manner. Provides training to customers and in-house staff. Controls and monitors service cost and schedules to meet contractual commitments as much as possible. Provides inspections and sign-off of proper installation of equipment. Writes field service work-orders and maintains records of field directed changes to the installation of equipment for billing purposes. Maintains accurate purchase, inventory, and installation records. Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, technical manuals, and diagrams. Responds to after-hours callouts as required. Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.
QUALIFICATIONS JOB DESCRIPTION
- Knowledge of mechanical installation, including but not limited to water softeners, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and PLC/HMI software.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations
- Operation of specialty tools, gauges and meters required for monitoring and testing systems, including chemical test kits.
- Domestic and international travel experience EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE BS
in Engineering or equivalent work experience and 7-10 years’ experience in installation of mechanical and electrical equipment, engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift 50 lbs. Frequent climbing, stooping, standing and frequent ladder/scaffold climbing involved in the installation activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions
