Rhode Island Job Overview:

No Worry Home is an annual preventive home maintenance and handyman service for residential homeowners. Our Field Service Technicians visit our customers in person multiple times per year, typically four (4) times. During each visit, we perform basic preventive maintenance taks for all systems and appliances in the home, such as changing filters and vacuuming coils. We also perform about 30 home inspection tasks, including inspecting stairs and railings, garage doors, sump pumps, water heaters, and the like. And then in the time remaining (usually 1-2 hours), we handle any handyman tasks they need done. At the end of the visit, we provide our customers with a visit report, which details what we did during the visit, plus any recommendations that we have for the customer to remediate problems in their home. The Field Service Technician is responsible for client interaction in a residential home environment. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently, checking systems such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing as well as the building envelope, and handling a range of handyman tasks. Certain routine maintenance tasks will also be part of the day-to-day responsibilities of the field technician. No two days will be the same while traveling to multiple sites each day.

Qualifications:

• General understanding of residential systems: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and the like, plus handyman skills
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks with little or no oversite
• Ability to travel/negotiate uneven terrain, climb stairs/hills and navigate typical residential properties
• Knowledge of how homes are constructed including building envelope, foundation and roofing systems
• Ability to communicate in the English language in both written and verbal form
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Possession of a vehicle to be used during work hours that is in good working order (milage reimbursement provided)
• Possession of a working mobile phone to use with our field service management software This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic field service environment, providing hands-on support to our clients.
