SummaryLincoln Electric is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworkingField Service Technician with a solid background in mechanical andelectrical systems, along with strong troubleshooting skills. Thisrole involves traveling to customer sites to perform equipmentcommissioning, conduct end-user training, troubleshoot issues, andensure optimal performance. When not in the field, the Technicianwill provide exceptional support via phone and email to assistcustomers remotely. What You Will Do Provide onsite training, commissioning, and repairof CNC equipment and related products with quality workmanship andstrong attention to detail. Provide technical support onsite or byphone for new and existing customers. Troubleshoot and define rootcause of failure as it relates to software, mechanical, andelectrical components. Complete detailed service event logs,including field and quality control reports. Create procedures anddocumentation for internal training and continuous improvement.

Partner with production personnel to ensure quality and continuousimprovement efforts as it relates to customer satisfaction. Supportsales by providing system application and specificationinformation. Work collaboratively across various business units andproducts. Willingness to cross-train and learn new products asneeded. Analytical and systematic approach to troubleshooting andrepairing electrical systems, wiring, and component failures in aproduction environment. Prioritize safe work practices daily andattend safety meetings as required; complete Job Safety Analysisforms for each job site visited. Complete all travel and expensereports in a timely manner. Assist the technical support group withcustomer service by calling and emailing customers with technicalissues; create and close cases in Salesforce using LogMeIn 123 orTeamViewer for onboard access to troubleshoot customer issues.

Perform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas asworkload requires. Required Experience and Education Associate’sdegree in Electronics Technology (or related field) or 3 years’relevant experience Commitment to travel 75% of the year throughoutNorth America (US, Canada, Mexico); 90% of travel is in the USCurrent and valid US Passport and driver’s license with a cleandriving record and reliable transportation Proficiency readingelectrical schematics Ability to use a handheld volt/amp meterExperience working with and troubleshooting 3-phase andsingle-phase equipment Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and writtencommunication skills Experience with industrial tools/equipmentsuch as mechanical hand tools, power hand tools, etc. Customersupport experience Ability to function in a self-directedenvironment Experience with and basic understanding of pneumaticsProvide professional and courteous customer experience Strongcomputer literacy skills 3D Solid Modeling / CAD experiencepreferred. Previous work experience with CNC machines preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, theemployee is sometimes exposed to moving mechanical parts andvibration, airborne particles, and machine lubricants and chemicalsused in cleaning processes. The noise level in the work environmentcan be moderate to extreme. Ability to work in hot and humidclimates while wearing PPE. Ability to work in cold weather whilewearing gloves and PPE. Involves dirty work surfaces such as metalresidue and dust, grease, oil, and other elements typical toindustrial environments. Exposure to hot surfaces and material.
