The Generator Service Technician is a highly motivated individual that has experience necessary to troubleshoot repairs and perform routine maintenance on generators in the local area. This role involves work on small engines, gas lines, and electrical equipment. What you’ll do: Work independently with residential and commercial standby generators Manage product inventory and tools needed for service, maintenance, and repairs Drive a company vehicle to local job sites to conduct service calls Service and repair generators: change air filters, change oil, check battery levels, check spark plugs, etc. Perform on-site planned services, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting for customers generators Provide regular updates and recommendations to homeowners What you’ll bring: 2+ years of experience with engine repairs, propane/natural gas lines, or generators Mechanical proficiency with internal combustion engines, troubleshooting, and diagnostics Knowledge of generator services, regulations, electrical systems, and transfer switches Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, blueprints, schematics, and service manuals Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and work outside A valid drivers license •This job is with an independent Generac dealer and not for employment with Generac Power Systems, Inc.
