Field Service Technician Appalachia Business Communication Corporation 232 South Peters Road, Knoxville, TN 37923 Field Service Technician Job Description The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, eager to learn and a desire to be part of a team that supports customers throughout the Knoxville metro area and their printing needs. They should be courteous, professional, dependable, have good mechanical aptitude and at least some training or experience working with computers/networks as it pertains to printing/scanning. In addition, they must be flexible. Each day will bring different challenges in what they’re working on as well as where they’re working on it.
Initial Job Duties:
- Participate in factory and company training courses.
- Gain an understanding of the office equipment industry.
- Develop good customer service and service call habits.
Typical daily job duties include:
- Respond to customer requests for assistance as assigned.
- Troubleshoot and repair customer equipment while maintaining a professional image.
- Identify and resolve network printing issues on a routine basis.
- Take ownership of the assigned problem until resolved.
- Develop professional relationships with customers and coworkers.
- Accurately record service activities in our database.
- Look for opportunities to help Appalachia Business grow.
- Take care of company assets, including tools, parts, vehicle, cell phone and laptop.
- Be part of group discussions regarding break/fix resolutions.
