Knoxville, TN Job Description:

John Bouchard & Sons Co. is seeking a Pump Service Technician for its Knoxville, TN operations. The successful candidate must have three years of experience in industrial machine, mechanical, and electrical repair, ideally with pumps and rotating equipment. Work on low voltage and three-phase electrical power will be required. Pump troubleshooting and repair experience is preferred. Responsibilities include on-site service and repair of pumps, motors, gear boxes, valves and other rotating and electro-mechanical equipment. Jobsites will typically be limited to the East Tennessee area and will typically be water or wastewater treatment facilities or golf course irrigation systems. This position includes a company vehicle with gas card. All Technicians are required, as directed by the company Safety Director, to (1) promote and practice proper safety procedures; (2) utilize proper personal protective equipment; and (3) complete a company-sponsored OSHA30 certification. Responsibilities/Requirements (Includes But Not Limited To) High School diploma or equivalent required; mechanical and electrical technical training. Must be able to read and write in English. 3 years of strong mechanical and electrical skills with demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of industrial or municipal equipment. Troubleshooting three-phase electrical power and low voltage controls is required. Experience repairing pumps, motors, gear boxes and other rotating equipment is preferred. Computer proficiency is required for communication, research, work orders and programming various controllers. Travel to customer locations within the service area. Out-of-town and overnight travel may be required from time to time. Expenses and travel costs will be reimbursed. Available for a rotating schedule of on-call work – Evenings, Weekends and Holidays. Ability to safely use all hand tools and power tools such as drill motors, grinders, band saws, etc. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial and utility infrastructure environments including extremes in temperature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling. Excellent driving record and ability to drive company-provided service van or pickup truck is required. Daily, complete required paperwork. Ability to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism. Ability to complete work within assigned deadlines.
