Full Job Description Purpose :
Become factory-trained and, where applicable, certified, on designated equipment and processes in order to deliver excellent technical service and support to customers and fellow employees. The main focus of this position will be in the service and support of high-tech positioning technologies and instruments and related software, all in the construction/survey arena.
Major Activities:
Operating and maintaining a service center to effectively service and support all products offered by Bramco. Perform bench technician work (testing, calibration, repair, upgrading) of construction/survey-related instruments and equipment. Work with Bramco sales people, service technicians, support specialists and manufacturers personnel over entire Bramco footprint as warranted for purposes of installation, troubleshooting, service/support and training in the field, on the phone and/or via e-mail as needed. Always provide timely follow-up and resolution, and remain current on open projects to keep work backlog to a minimum.
Other Activities:
Assist in inventory control activities to include, ordering, inventorying and invoicing sales and/or rental of inventory. Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the service center. Help maintain the overall cleanliness, safety and professional image of the local facility. Communicate with management regarding any notable issues regarding facilities, equipment, tooling, vehicles and other assets and equipment. Manage required service and support-related information, forms and paperwork as directed by management and/or in accordance with company policies and procedures. Attends and actively participates in all designated company meetings (staff meetings, service meetings, planning sessions, etc.), industry/association events, and appropriate training sessions. Adheres to all applicable laws, company policies and procedures, and business ethics codes. Perform other duties as required.

Two-year degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology or related field of study desired, along with 2+ years service experience with electronics, mechanical, hydraulics and/or electrical. Experience with Topcon, Trimble, or Leica technology preferred. Technical/mechanical aptitude with the ability and desire to learn new technologies and become knowledgeable and proficient in working with world-class construction and survey-related products. Must be a dependable, motivated self-starter with a solid work ethic, positive attitude, and service orientation. Excellent communications skills to effectively deal with people face-to-face, on the phone, and via e-mail. PC skills in using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer. Will be required to learn Bramco computer systems, software applications and reporting processes. Ability to research, locate, attend, and successfully complete factory-sponsored courses and programs, online classes and tutorials, and other such educational opportunities. The purpose is to enhance the technical knowledge and professional development of the person in this role, and to maintain warranty repair status for all products offered by Bramco.
