Job Description

  • Maintain and service mechanical equipment, machinery, and components for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) removal
  • Perform skilled routine maintenance of the FOD removal equipment in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals and guidelines
  • Evaluate need for repairs that are beyond routine maintenance level
  • Identify parts needed for replacement under routine maintenance or repairs that are outside of warranty
  • Work with PCIA management to get orders placed for replacement parts
  • Receive in replacement parts
  • Perform minor repairs as needed
  • Complete all work in accordance with established safety procedures
  • Operate the FOD removal equipment on a schedule coordinated with the air stati and unload FOD equipment using a forklift
  • Ensure availability of necessary equipment required to tow and/or move FOD equipment
  • Operate the tow vehicles
  • Provide on-site familiarization training, as required, to ensure any new personnel know how to properly operate the FOD equipment and tow vehicles
  • Coordinate with OEMs and/or their designated local, authorized dealers on equipment to be repaired under warranty or major repairs outside the warranty period
  • Record failures in PCIAs databaseHandle the packaging and shipment of FOD Removal equipment as it initially comes in, when it needs to go out for warranty or major repair and receipt after return following repair
  • Maintain a current list of all FOD removal equipment under PCIAs possession at all times

Job Requirements:

  • Associates degree preferred
  • Forklift operator certified desired
  • 3-5 years experience desired
  • Mechanical and electrical equipment experience required
  • Specific experience working with USMCs support equipment
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance
  • Must be fully vaccinated against

  • Ability to comply with all other requirements as specified within the CIEDA Personnel Policies and Procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.

To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
