Location:

Birmingham, AL (Tarr) – Retail shop How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Troubleshoots and repairs various electro-mechanical equipment andperforms trial runs of equipment to test quality and performance.

Develops detailed service reports to document service, issues andtroubleshooting actions and logs and tracks maintenance hours andactivities. Safety and Regulatory Compliance Exemplifies, promotes and develops safe workbehaviors. Ensures all applicable regulatory (OSHA, FDA, DOT, EPA)requirements are met and applicable training and recordkeeping isperformed to meet departmental and location deadlines. Maintains compliance with all Safety Management Systemsrequirements and any and all associated paperwork. Manages paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgasstandards. Complies with all government and company standards relating tothe safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases.

Essential Functions:

Pulls assigned equipment for repair from inventory usingappropriate equipment. Performs inspection of machine and observes operation to detectcause of malfunction. Disassembles machine, using hand tools. Determines replacement parts from lists and catalogs, orrepairs parts, such as motor drive controls, motors, belts,transformers, bushings, bearings, gears, etc. May solder loose connections. May rewires electrical circuits. Reassembles machine, using hand tools, welding and brazingequipment and measuring instruments. Set up and start the repaired machine to verifyoperation. Responds to customer calls in a professional and efficientmanner. Maintains a neat, clean and orderly repair shopappearance. Other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to be certified and safely operate a forklift, palletjack and other warehouse equipment as required. Assist with inventory, housekeeping and demonstrations asrequired. Other duties and projects as assigned. ________________________ Are you a MATCH?

Required Education:

HS Diploma or equivalent (GED); technical certificationpreferred.

Required Length & Type of Experience:

2 years of experience in electrical repair/testing experiencepreferred. 2 years of industry experience and training preferred. Strong background in the welding machine repair industrypreferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
