Location:

Birmingham, AL (RDA) – Welding equipment rental How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the incumbent repairs,refurbishes, and maintains engine driven welding equipment andgenerators and ensures a safe working environment. Ensures a safe work environment by following Airgas/Red-D-Arc’shealth and safety guidelines. Repairs and refurbishes all Electric and EngineDrives. Assembles electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment forrental. Tests and calibrates machines to see if they are functionalfor rent or sale. Repaints parts, touches up paint, and puts decals on welders tomaintain general appearance. Replaces defective parts and completes preventative maintenancerequired. Orders parts as required in order to complete repairs. Inspects returned equipment for proper operation and/or damageby the customer. Operates a forklift, pallet jack or other necessary equipmentto stock required parts in the shop. Ensures a clean and organized work environment at alltimes. Prepares and completes paperwork for all machinerepairs. Occasionally required to service equipment and customersoff-site. Maintains communication with all branch personnel. Occasionally advises customers regarding best equipment fortheir projects. Performs field work as needed. Performs other related duties. ________________________ Are you a MATCH? Education Post secondary education equivalent to a one year TechnicalCollege or equivalent is an asset. Experience 2-3+ years of related technical experience. Working knowledge of power generating and welding equipment,welding application and equipment is an asset. Licenses/Certifications Must have a valid Driver’s License Skills and Abilities Attention to detail and solid organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and work independently with littlesupervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to make critical decisions while following companyprocedures. Ability to act proactively or find a solution with work-relatedproblems. Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varyingexceptions. Ability to work with a wide variety of people with differentpersonalities and backgrounds. Communicates with clarity, verbally in one on one or groupsituations, and over the telephone.
