Position Overview We’re seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Mechanical Assistant to support our engineering team in the mechanical repair and assembly of MRI coils . This is an entry- to mid-level position ideal for someone mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to work in a technical, regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with disassembly, repair, and reassembly of MRI coils Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures Handle delicate components with care, ensuring accuracy and cleanliness Document repairs and updates in our system (Salesforce) Perform basic testing and inspection of mechanical assemblies Maintain organized workstations and adhere to safety protocols Support senior technicians with mechanical prep and post-repair tasks Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus Hands-on mechanical aptitude (tool use, small part handling, etc.) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Willingness to learn and take direction Basic computer skills for documentation Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods Nice to Have Previous experience in electronics, repair, or mechanical assembly Familiarity with ESD-safe practices Experience working in a regulated or quality-driven environment
