Summary:
We”re hiring for an Entry-Level Fuel Injector Technician to join an industry leading company that specializes in marine engines. This role involves hands-on mechanical work, inspecting, testing, and determining the conditions of CR1 fuel injectors used in marine diesel engines. No previous experience with injectors is needed. Full training is provided for someone with a strong work ethic, a good attitude, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
Disassemble and inspect CR1 fuel injectors used in diesel marine engines Perform functional testing using hydraulic pumps and test benches to assess injector performance Interpret test results to determine whether injectors should be scrapped, refurbished, or overhauled Clean parts for refurbishment as needed Record basic test data and results into Excel (basic data entry only) Use a variety of mechanical tools including hand wrenches, torque wrenches, and hydraulic equipment Operate overhead shop crane to safely move injectors and other heavy materials Maintain cleanliness and organization within the Fuel Department workspace Collaborate with team members and support overall shop operations as needed
Requirements:
Coachable and eager to grow their career in the mechanical field Team-player attitude, coachable and a strong work ethic Basic mechanical aptitude Able to lift up to 50lbs Flexible to work overtime and Saturdays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical aptitude or prior experience in a mechanical/repair environment Familiarity with basic tools such as wrenches, torque wrenches, and fluid pumps Ability to read pressure gauges and interpret basic mechanical diagrams or blueprints Experience working with engine components
