Summary:
Diagnose, service, repair, recondition and assemble new and used customer and dealership equipment including small handheld equipment to large row crop equipment. Maintains and operates shop equipment and tools, performs quality work, as quickly and profitably as possible. Must be able to learn and use lap-top / tablet communications software. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Diagnose, repair, recondition, service, and assemble equipment as assigned by Service Manager. Repairs equipment, including but not limited to, all size tractors, small engines, lawn mowers, all-terrain vehicles, construction and farm equipment. Maintains accurate and easy to read records of work performed. Reports any work shortages and malfunctions of shop equipment to Service Manager. Completely disassembles and inspects equipment as quickly as possible, so parts may be ordered promptly, and machine work can be properly quoted and scheduled. Recommends any additional necessary repairs to Service Manager and/or Customer. Keeps shop vehicles clean and properly serviced. Reports any problems with equipment to Service Manager. Stays up to date with technical changes and participates in continuing education with factory service schools. Pays special attention to repeat repairs or comebacks to correct problems and avoid future job comebacks and unnecessary dealership expenses. Makes service calls as assigned by Service Manager when needed.

Position Responsibilities:
Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment as assigned by the supervisor. Document machine information and repairs completed on work order, including parts and fluids used. Maintain a clean work area, as well as care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment. Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities in the dealerships area of responsibility Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealerships area of responsibility. Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook. Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image. Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set. Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service. Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
