Equipment Operator M. Daniel Construction, INC Brooksville, FL 34601 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery on construction sites, including but not limited to Caterpillar equipment, bulldozers, loaders, excavators, skidsteers, backhoes and paving machine. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, loaders, excavators, skidsteer, backhoe and pavers. Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure equipment is in safe working condition. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed. Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Load and unload materials as required using appropriate machinery. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a construction environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Familiarity with various types of equipment including Caterpillar machines Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
