Sutton conducts on-site field insurance surveys for a variety of companies to help them make risk assessments for insurance purposes. Our inspectors act as the on-site observers for insurance underwriters to verify the condition and provide information for what is currently on site.
Inspectors responsibilities include:
Pre-Inspection Preparation such as reviewing property details on public websites. Scheduling Appointments. Conducting a short interview for verification of information. Doing a thorough examination of a locations physical characteristics and general conditions. Exterior measurements. Taking interior and exterior photographs and highlighting any unusual hazards. Summarizing all findings in a report and submitted for review before it is sent to the insurance underwriter. The ideal Sutton inspector should be: Energetic, self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote outdoor environment with minimal direction. Motivated, analytical, resourceful, and possess strong problem-solving skills. Proficient in written, verbal, and composition communication skills. Organized, capable of handling a demanding workload, and skilled in managing, prioritizing, and scheduling surveys efficiently. Able to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions in a timely manner. Willing to travel. Additionally, candidates are required to have: Computer running Windows 10 or newer. Color monitor running 800 x 600 or higher resolution Reliable internet connection A digital camera and/or smart phone capable of interfacing with your computer. Reliable, insured transportation and a valid drivers license. 20 foot or longer Camera Pole with attachments and a measuring device.
