(SEI) is hiring an equipment operator/pipe fusion technician to join our team. SEI is a construction company with a focus on landfill related construction and maintenance, landfill gas and leachate recovery and process systems, and environmental monitoring and reporting of all types. The position requires overnight travel Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work. Per diem, lodging and mileage are reimbursed for overnight travel. Duties of this position are performed 100% outside.
Requirements:
- Operation of heavy construction equipment
- HDPE pipe fusion
- Manual labor including but not limited to hand digging with shovels, maintenance of equipment, repair of piping and monitoring systems
- Strong work ethic and deductive reasoning skills
- Self-starter/Ability to work independently
- Ability to walk long distances and on steeply sloped uneven terrain
- Ability to do heavy, manual work
- Work in extreme (hot and cold) weather conditions safely
- Perform assigned duties in a safe manner
- Solid communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Must own reliable transportation capable of driving long distances
- Must have a valid driver license and auto insurance
