Shop Mechanic Responsibilities:
Mechanical Expertise:

Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and other essential components of heavy machinery.

Electrical and Hydraulic Systems:

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.

Diesel Systems:

Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, addressing issues related to fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions.

Preventive Maintenance:

Implement preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of equipment and prevent breakdowns.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and those around you.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed.

Shop Mechanic Preferred Qualifications:
Education:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience:

A minimum of one (1) to seven (7) years of relevant experience is necessary.

Training:

Factory, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus.

Equipment Experience:

A history of working with different forms of heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, compactors, and other types of aerial and earthmoving equipment.
