We are seeking a skilled and reliable Field Service Technician to join our team as an Independent Contractor. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair equipment at various customer locations. Your technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and dedication to excellent service will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites. Utilize tools such as cable testers, ohmmeters, crimping tools, RJ45 connectors, and basic hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, wire snippers). Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction. Accurately document service activities and maintain detailed records of work performed. Stay informed on industry trends and advancements in relevant technology.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree is preferred. Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role. Proficiency in diagnostic tools, including ohmmeters, with a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively. Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel to various job sites as needed. Background check clearance is required. Lift certification is preferred but not mandatory.
