Logging Equipment Operator Southern outlaw logging Swainsboro, GA 30401 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment, particularly in tree care and maintenance operations. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and proficiency in using GPS technology for navigation and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, rigs, and other machinery used in tree trimming and care. Perform tree care tasks including climbing, digging, and trimming as required. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize GPS technology for accurate navigation during operations. Collaborate with team members to execute projects safely and efficiently. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery. Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Experience in tree care operations is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by job duties. Familiarity with loader operation and other heavy machinery is preferred.
