Field Service Mechanic (Heavy Equipment) Position Available In Henry, Georgia

Field Service Mechanic (Heavy Equipment) M&M Recycling, Inc 245 Walker Crossing, Locust Grove, GA 30234 Field Service Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Mechanic Scrap metal company looking for a qualified field service mechanic to maintain all our equipment across multiple yards. This is based at our main yard in Locust Grove, GA. Equipment includes but is not limited to: Shredders, shears, balers, compactors, material handlers, conveyors, rolloff trucks, containers, dry vans, trailers, grapples, cranes, crane attachments, generators, scrap metal processing machines, and more.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining and repairing all heavy equipment across 4x locations. Manage Pre-trips and post-trips of all the equipment every day. Proactive maintenance – e.g. Change air filters, pressure wash, clean up equipment, tighten fittings, etc. Catch breakdowns before they happen. Supervise all equipment repairs as well as minor repair work on our fleet – hoses, tarp systems, etc. Manage and log all planned and unplanned repairs Schedule downtime for repairs on equipment to keep the operation running efficiently. Oil changes on equipment Change hydraulic cylinders on equipment All general mechanic duties to keep all equipment running.

HOURS MAY VARY

M-F 7am-5pm or until work is completed. Sat 8-12p as needed. Must be reliable and have a good work ethic Must have reliable transportation to and from work Must be a team player with good communication skills Tools provided but if you have your own that is a plus This is out in the field – subject to weather, rain or shine.
