Full Job Description Summary of Primary Functions:

The Teleo Support Specialist is responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Teleo Supervised Autonomy Solutions distributed by Dobbs Positioning Solutions. This role ensures proper functionality with the Teleo product line, assists with technology-related service work, and provides customer training as needed. This position reports directly to the Teleo Support Manager and is compensated on a salary basis. This position will also be responsible for partnering with the heavy equipment service teams in their area of responsibility (some cases may require working with brands other than John Deere) to ensure we have full support when installation and repairs are outside the scope of the Teleo ecosystem. This job description does not include a complete listing of all the duties and functions of the position. Management reserves the right to assign other duties or projects, as necessary.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to Dobbs Equipment Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and all applicable state and federal regulations.

Installation & Calibration:

Perform the installation, setup, and calibration of remote machine control systems in the Teleo ecosystem products on John Deere and all-makes equipment.

Technical Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to the Teleo ecosystem in the remote machine control systems and technology workspace.

Service Support:

Work closely with Dobbs Equipment service teams to support, repair, and install Teleo equipment on John Deere machines.

Service Support:

Work closely with brands other than John Deere to service and support the Teleo ecosystem distributed by Dobbs Positioning Solutions on all makes of heavy equipment.

Customer Assistance & Training:

Provide operator training and support to ensure proper use and functionality of Teleo Supervised Autonomy equipment.

Product Updates & Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of installed systems, networks, control stations, components, service work performed, and customer interactions.

Collaboration & Reporting:

Communicate effectively with the service teams and Teleo Support Manager to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Continuing Education:

Stay up to date with the latest industry advancements, software updates, and best practices through ongoing training and certification programs. Have a clear understanding of the activities, applications, and operator roles on active construction jobsites. Communicate and collaborate with Teleo Support Manager on issues affecting products and services in the Teleo ecosystem, to include operator feedback and system improvements. Provide exceptional product support to continue growth and product loyalty to increase market share in supervised autonomy technology. Provide on-site expertise for demonstrations and supervised autonomy technologies provided by Dobbs Positioning Solutions.

Project Management:

Implementation of processes at the end user level for supervised autonomy operations. Ensure all paperwork is filled out properly and meets criteria for proper processing of Teleo required genealogy reports. Provide status report to management as to achievement of goals and objectives. Bring to the attention of the Support Manager any shop tools, equipment or vehicle that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use. Always conduct self to present a professional image of the dealership. Ability to operate company vehicles and follow all motor vehicle state safety laws Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion. Following the safety policies of Dobbs is a condition of employment and is everyone’s responsibility.

Qualifications:

Competencies, technical skills, formal education, and relevant work experience critical for successful individual performance of essential functions. Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and follow installation guidelines. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to electronic and hydraulic systems. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in both shop and field environments. Strong computer skills, including familiarity with diagnostic software and remote support tools. Willingness to travel, overnight travel required. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company/service vehicles.

Technical Skills & Knowledge :

Specialized skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the essential functions of the job. Knowledge of IT. Analytical thinking & problem-solving skills. Project management skills. Excellent communication skills. Excellent training and presentation skills (in person & online). Familiarity with the construction industry or contractors or both. Valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record. Must be able to self-manage/self-motivate. PC literate, proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Outlook required. Quick learner with the ability to think out of the box. Extensive driving required; overnight travel required.

Education:

Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees, certificates, licenses and/or registration requirements. Bachelor’s degree (preferred) 3-5 years of working experience in Technology Solutions, and Job Site productivity. 3-5 years of working experience with the operation of Heavy Equipment. 3-5 years’ experience in the general heavy equipment repair industry. Familiarity with OSHA Safety Standards.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee must be capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 60 pounds, able to crawl and climb on/under heavy equipment, walk over construction/excavation sites (irregular terrain), stoop, bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time and be able operate a motor vehicle day and night. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and color vision.
