Job Description
- Diagnose, repair, and replace worn, damaged, or malfunctioning mechanical components on heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers to restore optimal performance
- Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to maintain comprehensive service records
- Perform thorough inspections of completed repairs to verify equipment is operating safely and efficiently
- Interpret and apply technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics to execute precise maintenance and repair procedures
- Skillfully dismantle and reassemble heavy machinery and equipment during repair, overhaul, or parts replacement
- Conduct performance tests on mechanical systems and equipment to confirm functionality and identify potential issues
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of parts, tools, and materials to support continuous workflow and avoid downtime
- Maintain cleanliness and proper working condition of tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational readiness.
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of diagnostic software.
