- Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of experience in repairing mobile mining equipment. The ideal candidate should have extensive exposure to mining equipment brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, Hitachi, and Liebherr. The role involves machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements. OEM experience is highly desired.
- Responsibilities
- + Repair and maintain mobile mining equipment.
+ Perform machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements. + Disassemble and reassemble Frac Transmissions. + Execute welding fabrication, arc welding, metal inert gas welding, arc gouging, and use of an oxyacetylene torch. + Handle technical tasks involving hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors. + Operate service vehicles and perform fieldwork without supervision. + Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks. + Ensure all work is conducted with a sense of urgency and exceeds customer expectations.
- Essential Skills
- + Minimum 3 years of experience repairing mobile mining equipment.
+ Exposure to mining equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, Hitachi, and Liebherr. + Experience with machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements. + OEM experience highly desired. + Mechanic experience on Frac Transmissions (disassembly and assembly/rebuild). + Experience with welding fabrication, arc welding, metal inert gas welding, arc gouging, and use of an oxyacetylene torch. + Technical experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors. + Mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics repair skills. + Proficient in preventive maintenance, service schematics, and troubleshooting. + Experience with diesel engines, heavy equipment, and forklift repair. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Proficient in the use of a computer and related software (Word, Excel, etc.
). + Strong problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy. + Ability to operate a service vehicle. + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. + Able to lift more than 50 pounds. + Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations. + Ability to work in the field without supervision. + Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced service environment. + Must maintain a safe working record.
