Job Summary Are you an experienced technician with a passion for heavy-duty equipment and a knack for leadership? BlueFin Field Services, LLC is looking for a Lead Equipment Technician I to join our dynamic shop team. This is more than a hands-on role—it’s a critical position ensuring our equipment is maintained, field-ready, and compliant with both customer and industry standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform expert-level maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of equipment including diesel engines, pneumatic systems, centrifugal and triplex pumps Work daily alongside Shop Managers, Project Managers, Field Techs, and Supervisors to keep operations running smoothly Mentor junior technicians and oversee work quality to uphold high service standards Coordinate with vendors for parts, shop supplies, and 3rd party equipment needs Lead or assist field crews during job mobilizations and equipment returns Maintain organized and functional shop/yard space aligned with quality protocols Handle key logistics functions: Bills of Lading, shipment scheduling, equipment receiving Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when needed Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required Minimum 3 years in equipment maintenance and repair At least 2 years in the energy sector Technical certifications (e.g., ASE) are a big plus Solid computer skills (MS Office) Comfortable working with equipment manuals, SDS sheets, and procedural forms Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring capabilities Physical Requirements Minimal travel may be required Must be able to work in harsh environments, sit/stand for long periods Ability to pass background check, drug screen, Fit for Duty, and physical exam Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) BlueFin Services is an equal opportunity employer.
