About this role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Electric Motor Mechanic to join our team. As an Electric Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electric motors and related equipment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of electric motors for our clients. 7am to 3:30pm primary hours Monday – Friday.

Competitive Pay:

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $23.80/hr. to $33.29/hr., depending on experience and qualifications. hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus under the compensation.

Responsibilities:

Repair and rebuild of electric motors in shop, other rotating equipment may be worked on too
Work with shop supervisor for equipment inspection and repair assessments
Vibration data collection and analysis utilizing latest technologies.
Perform laser alignments
Field work performing on-site alignment and balancing functions
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

High school education, or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience with mechanical repair/troubleshooting required;
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Ability to read and understand dimensional drawing, exploded view drawings, and cut section drawings.
Understanding of vibration monitoring and lubrication routes
Ability to complete required safety training classes and comply with OSHA, MSHA or any authority having jurisdiction
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Must be willing to work overtime or on call to satisfy customer requests
Able to travel to other locations for temporary assignments, meetings, and training involving some overnight travel required. Ability to use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, height gage, electronic gages as well as hard go/no go gauging.
Highly motivated with interpersonal skills to effectively work in a collaborative team environment that includes shared responsibilities, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others, supporting team and company objectives, and a willingness to work in all areas required by the team.

Bonus Qualifications:

Knowledge of PC and ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook) and help other with these tasks
Experience using Hoist and Cranes
Ability to work on electrical components
