Role:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic with a strong background in maintaining and repairing large vehicles and heavy-duty machinery, particularly diesel-powered trucks and equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping our fleet of vehicles and heavy trucks operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Heavy Equipment Maintenance:
Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy trucks, machinery, and diesel-powered vehicles.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics:
Diagnose complex mechanical issues and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension systems, and more.
Parts Management:
Order, manage, and track inventory to ensure timely repairs and parts availability.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the lead mechanic to complete more complex repairs and troubleshooting tasks.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records of work performed.
Work Under Pressure:
Perform efficient repairs under challenging conditions and weather, ensuring minimal downtime of critical equipment.
Qualifications:
Diesel Mechanic Experience:
Extensive experience working with diesel engines, including diagnostics and repairs.
Hydraulic & Electrical Systems:
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
Valid Driver’s License:
A valid Driver’s License is required. A CDL is a plus but not mandatory. Clean driving record is essential.
- Experience with
Heavy Equipment:
Experience working on large trucks or heavy equipment (such as vacuum trucks or waste industry machinery) is a plus.
Bilingual Skills:
Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
