1257 The Winter & Paddle Sports Projects Technician will work both independently and as part of a small team to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and facilities used for paddle sports and winter activities. This role emphasizes delivering a high-quality guest experience through consistent attention to detail and craftsmanship. Experience in a trade like carpentry or painting is an asset. This is an on-site, part-time, non-exempt position that reports to the project manager. Responsibilities Inspect, repair, and refurbish various paddle sports equipment, including patching inflatable crafts, plastic welding, and general gear refurbishment.
Inspect and repair winter-related equipment, such as wooden/metal railings and low-voltage lighting systems.
Complete projects on time, either solo or within a team.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed, and the tools and equipment are properly maintained.
Maintain organization of tools and inventory, ensuring efficient project execution.
Work closely with project management to communicate progress, challenges, and any support needed.
Communicate effectively with project management of needs and challenges.
Additional duties as assigned. Requirements Strong craftsmanship skills and a keen eye for quality in physical labor.
Experience with a range of hand and power tools, including specialized equipment. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety instructions, operation manuals, and maintenance guidelines.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and during other Whitewater events as needed. Physical Demands Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time.
Must be able to lift and move at least 50+ pounds.
Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time under varying weather conditions.
All positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.
