Job Description:
Perform diagnostics, repair and rebuild of all types of grading equipment, paving equipment and dump trucks. Perform diesel engine repairs, diesel engine rebuilds and hydraulic systems repairs. Must be able to work in both shop and field environments.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs various skilled tasks such as engine, hydraulics and electronics diagnostics and repairs on many types of heavy equipment.
Must own all tools needed to perform the duties of a construction equipment mechanic.
May be required to repair equipment in an organized shop or perform repair work in the field.
Must be a motivated individual with the ability and willingness to work long hours.
Minimum Qualifications & Training:
Experience 5 to 10 years in diesel engines and major repair/rebuild.
Must have a valid NC Driver License and acceptable driving record. Willingness to learn and be a team player.
Ability to abide by precise instructions and maintain a good attendance record.
Ability to abide by strict, but necessary, safety rules and policies.
Must be a reliable and trustworthy individual that will be a team player. Tasks Essential to
Job Functions:
The job requires the following motions: standing, walking, stretching, bending, lifting, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching and squatting.
Requires regular lifting of or more than 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Walking and standing may require a full day of 12 to 15 hours.
Will be exposed to sometimes extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Job requires some nighttime and weekend work.
