JOB SUMMARY
The Product Development Technician is responsible for fitment testing as well as function and performance review of all prototype and new production equipment, parts, and kits to ensure the performance of KIOTI’s product line and technology. This role is also responsible for review and confirmation of all assembly and installation instructions for all equipment, parts, and kits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB
Assemble crated prototype equipment and confirm accuracy and clarity of provided assembly instructions Perform basic operational tests using several types of Ag and Compact Construction equipment to verify proper fitment, operation, and usability Work with Product Management team to establish and adhere to product testing schedules Collaborate with the Product Development and Product Line Management on product resolution as required Create reports summarizing testing results in a clear, concise, and professional manner Manage and document prototype inventory Execute root cause analysis on failed parts as required Transport test equipment to off-site testing locations Complete product reviews and reports as required Assist with development of assembly instructions for current and new products Coordinate new product assembly and quality inspections prior to product launch Review and proof-read manuals prior to product launch or as revisions are implemented Other assignments as directed by the Tractor business management Perform engine diagnostics Electrical troubleshooting Hydraulic system troubleshooting Use of scan tool and other diagnostic equipment Transport equipment within the warehouse using a forklift
EDUCATIONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent 2-5 years of mechanical experience (Ag Equipment preferred) Forklift certification or experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience with training and development of training materials Knowledge and experience with the following computer applications: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook Solomon, CRM, and other applications are plus US Passport may be necessary for travel Experience trailering heavy equipment CDL may be required to equipment transport
