We are looking for a talented Onsite Service Technician – Field Service to join our Tamworth Team
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work on critical mining projects
First responder to breakdown events
Fleet maintenance
Fault diagnostics
Diverse range of engine repairs, both major and minor
Working autonomously as well as having the ability to work in a great team environment
Work with other major Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr. Etc
The face of Cummins at Customer Sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES
TO
BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING
Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification – Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)
Previous field service experience servicing and maintaining heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)[LJ4] Cummins Experience preferred but not essential
Ability to work autonomously as well as in a great team environment
A genuine commitment to workplace safety
A valid driver’s license
Good interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS:
Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Current relevant electrical certification (optional)
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
EXPERIENCE
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products
High Voltage/Low Voltage experience (optional)
