Meter and Instrument Repair Allstaff Contract Services Portsmouth, NH 03804 Meter and Instrument Repair 1st Shift 6am-2pm

Monday-Friday Overview:

Perform machine maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, diagnoses and calibration of production process, and utility equipment. Have the ability to work from machine drawings, sketches, and samples. Assure proper operation, accuracy, and documentation of equipment to meet product, process, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions:

Inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain mechanical devices and equipment using hand tools such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Inspect mechanical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair. Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the trouble shooting methods on any given equipment and ensure conformance to building and safety codes. Provide assistance during site emergencies. Must follow all safety rules and regulations including, but not limited to: lock out tag out, confined space entry, hazardous material handling. Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems and components. Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on all mechanical systems.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Required:

High School Diploma or GED. Must have (3) years of Industrial Mechanical experience. Must be able to safely install and repair motors, drives, starters, gears, pumps or any other trade-related equipment. Must be able to read schematics and correctly specify new or replacement components for equipment. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, troubleshoot and install all mechanical equipment and controls. Intermediate level of computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Frequent walking, stooping, climbing ladders and working in small spaces.
