The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our salvage yard, focusing on the recovery and recycling of materials. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate various types of equipment safely and effectively. Duties Prepare Vehicles for end of life Must be Familiar with a tire machines. Mount and Dismount tires Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and cranes to load and unload materials. Perform order picking tasks to retrieve items from inventory for processing or shipping. Sort and categorize salvaged materials for recycling or disposal. Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient work environment. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or similar equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
