Generator Road Service Mechanic •Currently Hiring for Preventative Maintenance Technicians and A/Rodman Technicians•

New York City Territory Pay:

$47.46 – $60.19/hour

+ UNION SHOP + Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus + Welfare, annuity, Pension, and vacation funds + Medical/dental/vision insurance + Paid company holidays Key qualifications: + Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Electric Power Generation, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment, (generator, ATS, switchgear), AC and DC, and diesel engines required + Advanced Electrical troubleshooting skills, breaker testing, paralleling generators, medium/high voltage, transformers, thermal scan (IR Scan) preferred + Clean and valid driver’s license required (this is a road/field service position) + Must be computer proficient to be able to run diagnostic software and prepare service communications + Must have strong communication and self-management skills + Must be open to working overtime, including evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed + OSHA-30 Card (preferred)

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Generator Assistant Service Manager, the Generator Road Service Mechanic is responsible for the following tasks: + Troubleshoot electrical & mechanical problems + Efficiently utilize resources to correct problems & document steps taken + Plan proper repair procedures for efficiency + Efficiently utilize tooling and technical resources + Effectively communicate status of repair work with supervisor + Represent the company in a positive, professional manner + Communicate customers’ options to correct current problems + Advise customer of cost of repair and collect payment as required + Complete/attend all safety meetings, computer-based trainings, audits, and other trainings as assigned + Work in a proactive, safe manner in compliance with all safety protocols & training + Immediately resolve and/or report all safety issues to supervisor + Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with all

Contamination Control Initiatives Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

+ Standing and walking (including on uneven surfaces) + Sitting, body rotation, and forward bending (in both sitting and standing positions) + Lifting up to 60 lbs.
