registered manufacturing company, with competitive pay, seeks a Transmission Technician for a full-time set-up position on 1st shift (Monday Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm) to join our team! This role is essential for maintaining our high standards of gear manufacturing and will involve working with various mechanical tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance in our production processes. Responsibilities Using shop equipment, pneumatic press, arbor press, and repair procedures to test. Perform complete transmission overhauls and rebuilds, including disassembly, inspection, replacement of worn or damaged parts, and reassembly. Perform preventive, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance on Muncie 4 speed-based transmissions (more so race units) Disassemble and correctly reassemble transmissions. Ability to frequently lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
