ABOUT THE ROLE

Holcim US, a leading supplier of quality, construction buildingmaterials in the United States, has immediate openings for aUtility Operator to support operations at the Rappahanock FarmsQuarry location in King George, VA. This position will beresponsible for operating and configuring multiple equipment. Alsoensure that the machine works at its full capacity, oversee itsmaintenance, and perform timely quality checks.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving andadhering to safety policies in all work environments andareas. Inspects conditions and operations of plant equipment andperform necessary repairs and adjustments. Report required repairs or other findings to Area Manager. Adheres to all safety, environmental and company policies andprocedures in completing daily tasks, and completes all requiredpaperwork in a timely fashion. Completes work orders in a timely manner; installing, repairingand fabricating materials out of metal; ensuring availability andfunctioning of required items; and ensuring safety and resolvingimmediate safety concerns. Assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage inmetal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat,melting the metal into shape. Performs the appropriate plant equipment inspections, repairsand preventative maintenance for both fixed and mobileequipment. Responsible for preparing and welding steel and aluminumstructures, appendages and equipment. Performs routine preventative maintenance on plant equipmentincluding handling welding repairs. Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment andreport findings to Area Manager. Prepares Plant reports as required and maintain an inventory ofregularly used repair supplies or equipment. Assists personnel as may be required for the purpose ofsupporting them in the completion of their work activities. Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned forthe purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. Performs required emergency repairs on production equipmentrequired to address plant breakdowns. Performs repairs as required on plant processing equipment andperforms maintenance on plant grounds as required. Maintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. for thepurpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of requireditems and ensuring safety. Rebuild or fabricate parts; repair electrical equipment. Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience:

2 years in a plant or industrialenvironment. Excellent oral communication skills with close attention todetail Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation andmaintenance Reliable transportation Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safetyprocedures Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.

CDL Preferred Required Computer and Software Skills:

Basic computerskills MHEO certification (Preferred)

OSHA 10, 30

Ability to work in all weather conditions withoutlimitations. Ability to lift 50lbs

Additional Requirements:
