What You’ll Do:

Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safetythroughout the operation for yourself and others at all times inaccordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards. Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment. Service, repair, adjust, andtest all mobile equipment that operates throughout the plant tomaximize performance and limit downtime. Inspect Equipment and Materials. Inspect all mobile equipment toidentify and troubleshoot the cause of errors. Perform repairs toaddress problems when necessary. Handle and Move Objects. Handle, install, position, and move parts,materials, and industrial hand tools safely throughout the shop andplant. Document and Record Information. Ensure correct and accuratedocumentation is completed daily and monthly regarding all mobileequipment. Enter and maintain service reports for all the mobileequipment in written or electronic form. Operate Equipment. Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehiclesthroughout the plant to ensure production continuesefficiently. Perform General Physical Activities. Perform physical activitiesthat require moving your whole body and considerable use of yourarms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking,stooping, and handling materials.

Qualifications Skills You’ll Need:

Experience. Previous experience working on diesel or heavyconstruction equipment is preferred. Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles andpractices of servicing heavy construction equipment ispreferred. Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hoursdepending on customer and company demands. Must be able to workoutside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate beingexposed to loud noises. Mechanical Skills. Must have some knowledge of industrial tools,their uses, and maintenance.
