Position Requirements Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis. You should have 2-3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment background. Intermediate experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment. Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment. Must have the necessary tools you need to perform repairs; averaging $5,000+ in value. Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications. Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods. Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs. Be willing and ready to learn; this position comes with growth opportunities!
