Job Description
Shop Assistant Ferrovia Services LLC Millington, TN 38053 Job Overview Ferrovia Services LLC is seeking a skilled, motivated, dependable candidate whose responsibility it will be to assist our Shop Manager with equipment repair, vehicle maintenance, and other duties assigned in the shop. Duties 1. Lubricates and services all equipment and Fleet 2. Inspects for operating deficiencies. 3. Repairs and adjusts equipment as directed and necessary. 4. Assists with repair records. 5. Assists Mechanic in establishing and following proper equipment maintenance methods. 6. Assists Mechanic in demonstrating proper use and care of new equipment. 7. Helps establish and maintain safety procedures for using equipment. 8. Performs general repairs and other preventive maintenance. 9. Conducts all work in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards; guidelines, personal protection equipment etc. 10. Complies with all company policies and procedures Skills High School Diploma or GED Valid driver’s license Ability to work independently Strong written and verbal communication skills (English) Basic math and measurements skills Mechanic and/or shop experience preferred Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team Demonstrated reliability Must be trainable and coachable Join us as a Shop Assistant where your contributions will directly impact our production efficiency and product quality!

ENVIROMENT AND PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS
Exposure to extreme weather changes (hot and cold) Extensive travel that includes lengthy stationary periods spent inside a vehicle. Consistent movement of gear, equipment, and materials up to 75 lbs. Frequent ascending and descending a ladder to and from the top of a commercial vehicle.
