Full Job Description Key Responsibilities:

Install, align, and maintain microwave dishes and antennas on towers, rooftops, and other structures. Perform line sweeps, PIM testing, and other RF system diagnostics using specialized test equipment. Route, terminate, and weatherproof coaxial, waveguide, and fiber optic cables. Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot RF equipment issues including radios, power supplies, and grounding systems. Read and interpret site plans, RF schematics, and technical documentation. Ensure all installations and repairs comply with company, industry, and FCC standards. Maintain accurate records of installations, service reports, and inventory. Adhere to OSHA and company-specific safety protocols, including fall protection and RF exposure guidelines. Work with project managers, engineers, and other team members to complete installations on time and within scope. Operate aerial lifts, winches, and rigging equipment properly and safely.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED; technical training in RF, telecommunications, or electronics preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years experience in wireless telecommunications or tower climbing. Proficient with RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, site masters). Certified in tower climbing and rescue (e.g., ComTrain, NATE, or equivalent). Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL is a plus. Ability to work at heights up to 500 feet, often in remote or rugged terrain. Strong understanding of microwave path alignment and LOS (line-of-sight) principles. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of various radio platforms (e.g., Aviat, Ceragon, Cambium, Ubiquiti, etc.). Familiarity with site acquisition procedures and construction documentation. OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid certifications. Fiber optic fusion splicing experience.

$22.76 – $24.13 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
