Job Description

Appliance / Vending machine technician Metro Vending STL St. Louis, MO 63104

Wanted:

Master of Maladies, Guru of Gizmos, Sorcerer of Solder, and Vending Machine Whisperer ! Are you the kind of person who sees a vending machine displaying “

ITEM SOLD OUT

” and thinks, “Aha! A puzzle!” instead of “Guess I’m thirsty!”? Do you find joy in the smooth drop of a perfectly vended snack, the hum of a well-chilled drink cooler, or the satisfying thunk of a coin mechanism working flawlessly? Is your idea of a good time disassembling complex machinery, diagnosing electrical glitches, and then bringing it back to life, fully stocked and ready to serve? If so, you might just be the unsung hero we’re looking for! We’re a lively, slightly quirky team in St. Louis City , and we’re on the hunt for a part-time Vending Machine Fixer Extraordinaire & Prep Specialist . This isn’t your average desk job (unless that desk needs fixing, of course!). We’re talking about someone with a knack for tinkering, a passion for problem-solving, and a mechanical mind that can diagnose an issue faster than a squirrel can bury a nut. Who You Are (Probably, if you’re awesome):

The Tinker:

You have a natural curiosity about how things work and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty (or sticky from a soda spill).

The Fixer:

You see broken vending machines not as dead ends, but as puzzles waiting to be solved. You derive immense satisfaction from bringing them back to life, fully functional.

The Vending Machine Whisperer:

Coin mechanisms, bill validators, spiral motors, refrigeration units – you speak their language and can coax them back into submission.

The Troubleshooting Titan:

You methodically track down problems, even when they seem to be hiding. “It just stopped working” or “It ate my dollar!” is your cue to begin the grand detective work.

Mechanically Minded:

You understand the physics of pulleys, the power of a lever, and the sheer elegance of a well-designed dispensing mechanism. Refrigerant Experience?

BIG PLUS!

If you know your way around cooling systems and can handle refrigerants safely and effectively, you’ll be our immediate favorite. Looking for a bit of action: Perhaps you’re retired and seeking to keep those brilliant hands busy, or maybe you’re just looking for some extra hours to fuel your next big project (or your coffee addiction, we don’t judge). What You’ll Be Doing (Besides being awesome): You’ll be our go-to guru for a variety of vending machine-related conundrums .

Think:

Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues in vending machines. Performing routine maintenance and preventative care. Prepping machines for deployment, ensuring they’re clean, functional, and ready to be stocked. Troubleshooting coin and bill acceptors, dispensing mechanisms, and refrigeration units. Possibly assisting with basic stocking or inventory checks as needed. Every day could bring a new, exciting (or just slightly annoying) challenge! What We Offer (Besides endless gratitude):

Competitive Pay:

We value your expertise! We’re offering $15 – $22 per hour , depending on your experience and the sheer magic you bring to our broken gadgets.

Flexible Hours:

This is a part-time gig, designed to fit into your life, not take it over. Let’s talk about what works for you.

An Open & Welcoming Workplace:

We believe in collaboration, bad jokes, and the occasional shared snack. Your ideas are welcome, your contributions are valued, and your unique brand of mechanical genius will be celebrated. We’re a place where you can be yourself, roll up your sleeves, and help us keep things humming. The Thrill of the

Fix:

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of fixing something that seemed beyond hope. You’ll get to experience that feeling often here. Ready to join our league of extraordinary fixers and vending machine visionaries? Send us a brief message telling us a little about your fixing adventures, your favorite tool, or the most unusual thing you’ve ever managed to repair. Don’t worry about a fancy resume; we’re more interested in your passion for bringing things back to life! We can’t wait to hear from you, you magnificent mechanical marvel!
