  • Job Duties and Responsibilities

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will

  • Drive a company-provided vehicle to customer homes throughout our service area to perform diagnostics and repairs on a full range of major household appliances
  • Move and maneuver appliances weighing between 100 to 500 lbs using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Use diagnostic skills and technical knowledge to determine the cause of appliance failures and complete high-quality repairs
  • Service all makes and models of appliances, including legacy units and the latest high-tech designs
  • Interact professionally and respectfully with customers, vendors, and fellow team members, delivering clear communication and exceptional service
  • Maintain accurate records using computers, tablets, and industry-specific software systems for scheduling, diagnostics, repair documentation, and parts Commit to ongoing professional development, including manufacturer training, industry certifications, and continuous education to stay current with evolving appliance technology
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of recovery equipment and personal protective gear
  • Work with a torch and handle refrigerant systems as needed, in compliance with EPA regulations
  • Be available for occasional overtime to complete jobs when necessary and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate a company service vehicle
  • Physical capability to lift, move, and work with large appliances safely
  • Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to obtain (or current possession of) EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification
  • Willingness to work with torches and refrigerant recovery equipment
  • Comfort using tablets, diagnostic tools, and modern software systems. ordering
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while supporting the Cavalry team mission.
  • Preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in appliance repair or a related technical trade
  • Industry certifications or technical school education.
