Mobile Appliance Repair Technician Family Touch Repairs & Diagnostics Queens County, NY Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Appliance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of household appliances. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in field service, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and support. Your ability to troubleshoot issues effectively while providing excellent customer service will be crucial to your success in this position. You must have a working vehicle, and valid license in New York State. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair various household appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, and HVAC systems. Use of a multimeter to diagnose various appliance parts. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on appliances to ensure optimal performance. Assemble and disassemble appliance components as needed for repairs. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients about the repair process and any necessary follow-up actions. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used during repairs. Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge related to appliance repair and maintenance. Proficiency in diagnosing electrical issues in appliances. Experience as a service technician in the field, preferably with a focus on HVAC systems. Excellent customer service skills to foster positive client interactions. Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Familiarity with equipment repair techniques and best practices. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
