HVAC and Refrigeration Technician M & M Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, LLC Boaz, AL Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC/R systems and property maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration and air conditioning units. This role requires mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in the field, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. Duties Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration systems, including air conditioning units and commercial refrigeration equipment. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot issues related to refrigeration and air conditioning systems, identifying problems and implementing effective solutions. Weld components as necessary for repairs or installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with other service technicians and property maintenance staff to address any HVAC/R-related concerns on-site. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs made, and parts used for inventory management. Drive company vehicles to various job sites as needed, ensuring safe transportation of tools and equipment. Plumb refrigeration systems as required for installation or repair tasks. Qualifications Proven experience in HVAC/R systems installation, maintenance, and repair is essential. As well as being EPA Certified. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively. Skilled with welding techniques relevant to refrigeration repairs is a plus. Experience in property maintenance is preferred but not mandatory. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for van driving responsibilities. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.
