//tcd.semtribe.com/ The HVAC Tech position is based on the Hollywood Reservation located at 3321 North SR-7, Hollywood, FL 33021 and covers Seminole Residences up to a 100 mile radius. There are work vehicles assigned to the department you can use between locations. The staff schedule is full-time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with an overnight on-call rotation that includes Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade County. In case of extreme weather, such as hurricanes, the Housing department is considered essential staff so the team may need to change the work schedule to work evenings and weekends to assist the community. Position Summary The incumbent in this position performs a wide variety of skilled tasks involved in the maintenance and repair of ventilation, heating and air conditioning units related to the care and maintenance of STOF residences, buildings and facilities.

Qualifications / Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Appropriate specialized training in the skills needed in heating and air-conditioning systems repair and installation is required. A minimum of four (4) years of journeyman experience in heating, air-conditioning and energy management, two of which were spent in commercial HVAC is required. Possession of an EPA Refrigerant Technician Type I and II certification is preferred. Possession of an EPA Refrigerant Technician Universal certification within six months of the date of appointment is recommended. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays; and be on call 24/7 for emergencies is a requirement of this position.
