Job Summary:
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding / brazing and mechanical layouts.
Hours:
Monday through Friday 8:00 AM ” 6:00 PM. Overtime is common during the high seasons. Participation in the emergency service rotation is required (Emergency Service is only till 8:00pm).
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Perform Tune-Up and Professional Cleanings on residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. Diagnose residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems to determine the cause of failure and repair systems as needed or set up a replacement lead. Be knowledgeable of products and services that solve our customers’ specific comfort needs. Always treat all customers and coworkers with dignity and respect. Arrive on time and ready to begin work every day. Be neatly groomed and fully dressed only in a clean company-approved uniform. Possess all the required tools to perform the job of a service technician and maintenance technician. Complete each and every tune-up and service call thoroughly, efficiently, and without need for a callback. Discuss all repair/replace options available with the customer before performing the repair. Good communication skills both verbal and written, are vital. Troubleshooting – Determining the causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it. Dependability, the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance. Possess a valid driver’s license. High School Diploma or GED Required. Technical school graduate preferred EPA Certified type I and II at a minimum
Experience:
Two (5) years minimum
