HVAC Technical Advisor JP Brett Air Conditioning Naples, FL 34109 Job Summary The HVAC Technical Advisor will serve as a critical resource for our field technicians, providing expert-level guidance and troubleshooting support during service calls. This role is best suited for a seasoned HVAC professional with extensive hands-on experience and a passion for mentoring others. The advisor will also be responsible for overseeing in-house training efforts, creating structured learning paths for new and current technicians. They will also cover for Service Manager should he be out. Duties Complete diagnostic and service work and routine maintenance on both residential & light commercial equipment. Complete equipment checks, field paperwork/invoice on mobile device. Communicate with Service Manager, Dispatcher on any follow up work as well as communication with customer on findings and repairs. Provide real-time technical support via phone to service and maintenance technicians in the field. Respond promptly to calls, texts, or messages requiring assistance or guidance on diagnostics and repair procedures. Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and customer interactions. Lead the development and delivery of in-house technical training programs for service and maintenance teams. Develop a monthly training schedule and submit a list of required teaching aids and materials to the Service Manager in advance. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to guide technicians in the field. Stay up to date with the latest HVAC technologies, codes, and best practices. Assist in evaluating technician performance and identifying areas for additional support or coaching. Foster a positive and educational environment that encourages team growth and development. Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC service experience. EPA certification required Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across a wide range of HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively. Ability to remain calm and helpful in high-pressure or urgent situations. Excellent problem-solving and strong communication skills with a focus on customer, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Highly organized and self-motivated
