The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC/R systems, with a focus on installation, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning units. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and can work independently or as part of a team. The Air Conditioning Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all HVAC systems operate efficiently and effectively. Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of HVAC/R systems to identify issues.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter for testing electrical components.
- Perform maintenance tasks including cleaning coils, replacing filters, and checking refrigerant levels.
- Work with ammonia refrigeration systems when necessary.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address HVAC-related issues in various settings.
- Design and implement solutions for improving system efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
- Drive a company van to various job sites while adhering to safety regulations. Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with appliance repair techniques and property maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience working with various HVAC/R tools and equipment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving company vehicles.
- Certification in HVAC or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
